2. Minutes of Meeting with Salt Ayre Management.
The minutes are shown at the end of this meeting’s notes. A further meeting will take place in July.
3. DBS Verifications.
Club verifiers Steve and Mark will send a form to people who have been notified that their DBS (and licence) are to expire shortly, requesting basic information. Angus will forward emails to Steve and Mark from England Athletics identifying those who require verification.
4 Committee meeting Attendance.
As a follow up to the discussion at the AGM, Mark will devise a form which will be used by committee members who can’t attend a meeting. This form will ask for any business they wish to be discussed at the meeting and updates on any outstanding actions.
5. Juniors/Coaches.
Dan reported that we have some parent helpers who assist the two available Colours coaches on a Tuesday evening. There are also four Coaching Assistants who are on the coaching pathway. The committee agreed that all four should be funded to attend the appropriate courses.
Coaches will not be offering places in the colour or specialised groups to Juniors not on the waiting list.

7. Summer /60th Anniversary Events
Date for Summer Sizzler - 13 August. Barbeque- 6 September.
8. AOB
i) Following feedback from the Salt Ayre weekend event, it was suggested that giving new (possibly daunted ) starters, would benefit by being aware of what to expect if they come along to the club.
Action on Alan to write. Action on Charlie to post on website.
ii) Mark suggested that the club invites other running groups in the area to run with LMAC on a Tuesday or a Thursday evening. Mark to contact other groups.

LANCASTER & MORECAMBE AC.
Meeting with Salt Ayre Management. - Thursday 24 April 2025
Present: Claudia, Brad, Conor, Brendan, Angus.
1. Salt Ayre Open Week-end. 10/11 May.
Opportunity for LMAC to publicise club activities. Can be indoors or outdoors. SA can supply tables and possible spot is in reception area. Track is available to us also. Cogset, football clubs taking part. Could be busy as cut-price activities available in the Centre.
2. Track Repairs.
Midlancs meeting is on 18 May, but full repair of track faults not possible by that date. No estimate for this work and no budget for it either. LMAC offering to make some basic repairs - refixing surfaces where needed. Council will have to sanction these repairs, and LMAC will supply a risk assessment and method statement for this work. Council representative (Mark Henry) will liaise with Dan and Tim.
3. High Jump Landing Bed.
The condition of cover for Salt Ayre’s landing bed has deteriorated, and cannot be used in competitions. Conor will send information to SA about replacing the existing cover.
Salt Ayre were updated about our desired Pole Vault facility, and asked if we do need to keep the uprights we got several years ago.
4. Track Bookings.
There have been delays in making bookings and receiving confirmation of the booking. The discussion was inconclusive in determining the reason for any delays. Sue (SA) and Carrie (LMAC) attend to any bookings promptly unless they are on holiday.
5. Approach Signs
Salt Ayre would like to have some signs on the approach to the Salt Ayre building, listing each of the sports clubs associated with the Centre - eg LMAC, Cogset, football clubs - to give more weight to the importance of ‘sport’ rather than just ‘leisure’ in the Centre. Claudia will inform us
6. Service Level Agreement.
Claudia asked if the club has a Service Level Agreement with Salt Ayre, specifying the services we get from SA eg the number of times per year the grass is cut, the track is swept. We don’t have such an agreement, although other clubs including Cogset do. LMAC to discuss at next committee meeting.
7. DONM
It was agreed that this meeting was useful, and a further meeting was arranged for Thursday, 19 July at 1630.
