32,000 runners took part in both the earlier 10k and the latter half marathon.
It was great to once again pound the streets of Glasgow i know so well.
Runners set off from George Square in the city centre, head over Kingston Bridge, and at half way, enter Pollok Country Park.
The park is the largest in Glasgow, over 330 acres, and boasts the world famous Burrell Collection.
It's 2 miles through the park, the last mile predominantly uphill.
I think the race organisers missed a trick with the route after Pollok not to run through Bellahouston Park, but run adjacent to it & away from it.
Runners head back to city centre, crossing the River Clyde by the Squinty Bridge, then along to Glasgow Green and race finish
Crowd support excellent throughout the course , particularly Pollok Park, start and finish
Finish time 1 hr 50
